For most of my couples, Colorado isn’t home, which is totally fine. I have you covered! Lets dive into some tips and tricks for what to pack to your Colorado elopement!

1. Attire

  • Cozy PJs – Maybe part of our day together is sitting by the fire sharing hot cocoa
  • Comfortable shoes (formal and hiking-friendly) Sorrel makes some really cute boots!
  • Weather-appropriate layers (jacket, shawl, etc.) Colorado weather can change super fast, even in the summer. Having a cute jacket or shawl that you don’t mind being photographed is a must!
  • Wedding dress or suit – You can hike and adventure in your dress, you can also go non traditional with a white romper or suit. It’s your day!

Personal Items

  • Make up on the go – having a little bag for touch ups
  • Sunscreen and lip balm – a must for Colorado! Even in cooler weather, it’s easy to burn in high altitude

Comfort and Convenience

  • Water bottles
  • Snacks or picnic supplies
  • Blanket for seating or warmth

Fun Ideas

  • Props for photos (signs, flowers, etc.) Etsy has some really cool signs! But plan ahead, some of those can take awhile to make and ship!
  • Mr & Mrs. Gear – jackets, cupcake signs, matching mugs
  • polaroid camera

Travel Items

  • Daypack or backpack
  • Hiking Gear (if applicable)
  • Cash for tips or purchases

Ceremony Items

  • Wedding rings
  • Ring box
  • Special acknowledgements – bouquet charms
  • Handkerchief
  • Vow books

Miscellaneous

  • Sunglasses and hats (for sun protection but also fun props)
  • Spare clothes (for changing after the ceremony if you want to do a fun outfit change)
  • Canned oxygen – Boost Oxygen can be found at convenient stores locally but you can always come prepared if you know you’ll need it! Thank you Amazon! This can be super helpful for guests that are coming that are older or really anyone that needs an extra boost of oxygen.
  • Electrolytes – having little to go packets of electrolytes is great to have on hand

Furry Friends

  • Their favorite treats
  • Ink to sign the marriage license (if applicable)
  • Bow tie or white collar
