Are you trying to book your maternity session but unsure how to prepare? As a Denver maternity photographer, I’ve captured my fair share of maternity shoots, and I’m ready to help you prepare for yours. First off, congratulations on your little one! Pregnancy is an incredible experience; a maternity session can help you remember those beautiful feelings!
When To Schedule Your Maternity Photos
Maternity photos are usually done at the beginning of your third trimester. During the beginning of the third trimester, you should have a nice round bump. After you get past about 35 weeks, there’s more of a chance of you going on bed rest or into labor. You also begin to feel a little uncomfortable. I suggest you stay 27-32 weeks when you get the maternity photos. So start to reach out to your Denver maternity photographer you’re interested in for around 20 weeks!
Get Family Involved
Another of the 3 best tips for maternity photos is to have your partner or someone else helping raise your little one with you. You want all family members involved in the shoot and to share it with your little one who loved them first. Another reason is the variety of photos. You can do different poses with your partner or a pet, and then you could get some solo shots.
Your Denver Maternity Photographer Says to Have Fun With Props
You might also consider getting some props to bring along. Some soon-to-be mothers bring booties their child is going to wear. Many maternity photos also include teddy bears or onesies.
This can add another layer to the photos. It can give you some unique shots that will be fun to hang in the nursery. These items can also be kept so they have fun memories when they grow older.
Let’s get your maternity photoshoot in the books and chat today! I can’t wait to capture your growing family!
